In the Middle East, Gunnery Sergeant Burns reports for service at an American embassy. However, due to the Ambassador's "enlightened" viewpoints, the marine security detachment he oversees has been severely limited in its tasks and presence in order to avoid upsetting the host government. As a result, when terrorists attack the compound, they can easily kidnap hostages and flee. Burns disregards the Ambassador's restrictions and tosses the rule books out the window in an attempt to rescue the captives and eliminate the terrorists as a one-man army.
