Following the news that Francesca (Nia Vardalos), Natalie's cousin, will have to cancel the Christmas Eve launch of her new Italian restaurant, Natalie's heart goes out to all of the guests who had been scheduled to come. Natalie tries to make the opening happen in any way she can because no one should be alone on Christmas. Gilles Marini plays the handsome but gloomy Chef Stefano, who believes it is impossible because there are only three days until Christmas! But Natalie is firm in her belief that challenges are simply opportunities disguised as obstacles, and she soon persuades Stefano that they are capable of completing the task. The fact that they are working side by side begins to modify their feelings for each other, even though they are initially hostile. Natalie learns from Stefano that cooking, like Christmas, isn't about being a perfectionist.... Rather, it is about sharing it with the people you care about the most.
