A Brand New Life

A young Jinhee is placed in an orphanage in the vicinity of Seoul by her father. She struggles to come to terms with the fact that he has abandoned her there permanently and will never return. Jinhee has trouble letting go of the hope that her father will one day return for her and take her on an adventure. The events depicted in the movie are based on the real-life experiences of the film's director, who is of Korean ethnicity but was adopted as a child by a French couple in the 1970s.
