From the early days of World War II, a German U Boat is sunk in Canada's Hudson Bay. Hoping to evade capture, a little band of soldiers headed by controlling officer Lieutenant Hirth attempts to cross the boundary into the USA, that has not entered the war and can be officially neutral.
